Meet the team - Jessica Gilck

Jessica is a 30 years old self-proclaimed champagne connoisseur. She has a background within marketing and entrepreneurship and has many years of experiencing digital marketing and online audience.

How did your journey at Botanium begin, what aroused your interest?
I started as a Marketing & Communications Manager at Botanium February this year (2020) and was really impressed by the products. What really aroused my interest in Botanium is the beauty of hydroponics, how easy it is and how it enables everyone to become a grower in urban environments. I also enjoy to be a part of a promising start-up.

How do you spend your free time?
I like to hang out with family and friends. I travel as often as I can and happily to Champagne in France. I also love nature and like to spend the weekends outdoors with my family and dog. 

Can you tell something that many do not know about you?
I never turn down a challenge. A few years ago I did my first hike ever and choose to start with Kilimanjaro. It is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest single free-standing mountain in the world, 5,895 metres above sea level. It was a powerful feeling to stand on the top and look out over the horizon.

What do you love about your job?
I love creating content that arouses interest, inspires and creates activity. 

What do you value in a leader?
I place a high value in trust and strong, genuine relationships.

If you had a superpower, what would it be?
I would love to be able to realize people's highest desires (if their intentions are good). Is that even a superpower? Otherwise I choose to be able to speak all different languages in the world.
